Good passwords are essential to protecting your information.


According to NordPass ranking, the most frequently used password , and therefore the most vulnerable, is... 123456.

Unsurprisingly, it is closely followed by its full version: 123456789.

Other commonly used and equally risky passwords include azerty and admin.

To protect your accounts effectively you need strong passwords. A 14-character password, with numbers, upper and lower case letters and special characters.

The longest word in the world is an English word of 189,819 letters that represents the chemical name of Titin, the largest known protein.

Using a high number of characters for passwords is recommended. 
It should also be noted that the longer a password is, the greater the risk of an input error.

1-  Avoid easy words and personal information: neither ‘’12345’’, nor ‘’love2’’

2-  Choose long passwords, with numbers and special characters: ideal for slowing down hackers in a hurry

3- Check the strength of your password

4- Diversify your passwords from one site to another

5- Use a password generator, if your creativity is flagging

6- Use a password manager to remember them for you

7- Change your password often... but not too often

8- Implement techniques to help remember complex passwords

9- Adopt two-factor authentication (because two locks are harder to pick than one)
